RALEIGH - The North Carolina Turnpike Authority is continuing construction on the eastern portion of the Complete 540 project, Phase 2. This project will extend the Triangle Expressway (Toll N.C. 540) from the I-40/I-42/Toll N.C. 540 interchange near Garner and Clayton to the existing I-540/I-87/U.S. 64/U.S. 264 interchange in Knightdale, providing the missing link to complete the outer 540 loop around the greater Raleigh area.
Old Baucom Road is scheduled to experience lane shifts during daytime hours on or around April 7. The purpose of this impact is to open Old Baucom Road to its new permanent traffic pattern.
Drivers may experience delays and should pay close attention when driving along the roadway.
The lane shifts and opening of Old Baucom Road’s new traffic pattern are weather dependent.
