RALEIGH - Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close a section of Western Boulevard and two Interstate 440 ramps tonight as part of the I-440 improvement project.
Westbound Western Boulevard, the Western Boulevard ramp to I-440 West, and the I-440 East ramp to westbound Western Boulevard will be closed tonight due to construction at the interstate from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Motorists will detour to I-440 East, Hillsborough Street, and I-440 West as a detour.
Drivers are urged to use caution and allow extra travel time while traveling through the work zone.
