MOCKSVILLE – A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close the right lanes of Interstate 40 eastbound and westbound, as part of the Pinebrook School Road bridge replacement project.
This Friday, the right lane of I-40 West will close between mile markers 177-175 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Then from noon – 3 p.m., crews will close the right lane of I-40 East between mile markers 174-176.
Both closures are necessary to allow crews to safely enter and exit the interstate while placing asphalt in the area beneath the bridge.
Motorists should expect delays and use caution when traveling through work zones.
