WELCOME – The N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close the northbound on-ramp from Hickory Tree Road to Interstate 285/U.S. 52.
The closure is scheduled to occur between April 21-23 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, when crews will repair a slope failure that has caused pavement damage and repave the shoulder on I-285.
The right lane of I-285/U.S. 52 will close between the Exit 100 ramp to Hickory Tree Road to mile marker 101 which will allow crews to make the repairs, weather permitting.
A signed detour will be in place, directing motorists to use Hickory Tree Road, Old Highway 52 back to I-285.
Drivers follow posted detours, use caution near the work zone and seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
