RALEIGH – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close a section of Western Boulevard and one Interstate 440 ramp tonight for construction, weather permitting.
Eastbound Western Boulevard, and the ramp from I-440 West to Western Boulevard East will be closed due to construction at the interstate from 10:30 p.m. tonight to 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Motorists will use Melbourne Road and I-440 East as a detour.
Drivers are urged to use caution and allow extra travel time while traveling through the work zone.
