DURHAM – Crews plan to close a section of South Duke Street for nearly two weeks to replace a stormwater pipe.
South Duke Street between West Lakewood Avenue and Cobb Street is set to close at 8:30 a.m. on April 27 and reopen the evening of May 8, weather permitting.
Drivers traveling north on University Drive toward South Duke Street will detour via Blackwell Street and Morehead Avenue.
Motorists are encouraged to reduce speed through the work zone and pay attention to all traffic control devices while work is being done.
