Asheville Intercity Bus

The Asheville intercity bus service has surpassed over 10,000 riders since its relaunch after Hurricane Helene. The service has seen steady monthly growth in less than a year since its relaunch.

Ridership for this period exceeds that of the last three years, indicating the service, funded by the NCDOT, is fulfilling its goal of expanding access to jobs, healthcare and education.

The service allows passengers to book tickets for trips within the state and across the country by visiting Greyhound.com or the Greyhound mobile app.

State ROADEO

NCDOT state maintenance crews recently competed in NCDOT’s Equipment Operator’s Safety Training Conference, also known as the State ROADEO.

The ROADEO is an annual event in which workers showcase their expertise in operating cranes, trucks, and other heavy equipment.

Winners from each North Carolina division traveled to Raleigh to compete in eight different categories. State winners will go on to compete in a regional event.

The event promotes skill advancement and enhances safety awareness, reflecting workers’ commitment to keeping North Carolina roads safe.
