MOORESVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will continue widening efforts on N.C. 150 in Iredell County this week.
Crews will close Talbert Road just north of N.C. 150 at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights to install storm drainage across the road. Talbert Road will reopen by 6 a.m. each day.
Drivers will follow signed detours around the closure using N.C. 150, Corporate Center Drive and Oates Road.
The closures are part of the $249 million N.C. 150 widening project between N.C. 16 in Catawba County and U.S. 21/N.C. 150 in Mooresville, and an improved interchange with Interstate 77.
Construction began last year, with crews upgrading storm drainage, coordinating utility installation, relocating traffic signals and installing walls to separate the work zone from traffic.
Motorists are encouraged to pay attention when approaching the work zone, obey the posted speed limit and allow extra time to reach their destinations safely.
