YADKINVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting for a proposed project to upgrade East Main Street in Yadkinville from 5-7 p.m. on June 18 at Yadkinville Town Hall, 213 South Van Buren Street.
The project would modernize a 1.19-mile stretch of East Main Street (Old U.S. 421) between U.S. 601 and Unifi Industrial Drive, add sidewalk along the project length and a center turn-lane between South Van Buren Street and Unifi Industrial Drive. The project also will improve the U.S. 601 and Van Buren Street intersections with Main Street.

Project information will be presented at the meeting allowing for one-on-one discussions with project staff, but there will be no formal presentation. The public may drop in at any time.
