MOCKSVILLE - A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close Angell Road at the intersection of U. S. 601 in Davie County beginning July 13. Weather permitting, the intersection will close for three weeks until Aug. 3.
The closure will allow crews to improve the sight distance by overlaying U. S. 601 with several layers of asphalt and improve sightlines for drivers.
Signed detours will be provided at the construction site. Motorists should expect delays and use caution when traveling through work zones.
