HARRISBURG – Beginning Thursday, July 16, a Cabarrus County intersection will temporarily close for approximately three weeks for construction work, requiring a detour for drivers.
Tom Query Road will be closed between Tottenham Drive and Robinson Church Road in conjunction with subdivision construction at the corner of Tom Query and Robinson Church Roads. The work includes realigning the corner between 450 – 500 feet and installing a new traffic signal to accommodate a new subdivision.
During the closure, a detour will be posted for drivers along Caldwell Road, N.C. 49, Harrisburg Veterans Parkway, Stallings Road and Robinson Church Road, returning to Tom Query Road.
Local traffic can still access subdivision roads up to Windsor Forest Place and Tottenham Drive using Caldwell Road.
