JAMESTOWN – N. C. Department of Transportation crews will temporarily close Riverdale Drive near Furniture Avenue in southern Guilford County on July 27. The road will be closed for four weeks in both directions while crews replace a large underground crossline pipe.
Detour route: head toward North Business Loop 85 on Riverdale Drive, turn right onto North Business Loop 85 for 1.3 miles, take the ramp toward Vickrey Chapel Road/Jamestown for 0.2 miles, turn right onto Vickrey Chapel Road for 1.3 miles, turn right onto Kivett Drive for 1.5 miles, turn left onto Riverdale Drive 39 feet, arrive at Riverdale Drive.
Signed detours will be provided and posted on DriveNC.gov.
Drivers should plan ahead for delays and follow all posted detour signs to avoid the work zones.
