AYDEN – N.C. Department of Transportation crews will convert a Pitt County intersection to an all-way stop next week.
On July 28, crews will install stop signs and pavement markings at the intersection of N.C. 102 at Stokestown-Saint Johns Road. Currently, the intersection is a two-way stop on Stokestown-Saint Johns Road.
An all-way stop is an effective and cost-efficient way to improve the safety of an intersection and reduce the risk of serious crashes.
Drivers should be alert to crews working in the area and the new changes at the intersection.
