MARION – The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting for a proposed project to improve U.S. 221 from 5-7 p.m. on July 30 at Marion Community Building, 191 North Main Street.
The project would improve mobility and safety by replacing the bridge over Interstate 40, modernizing the interchange, and widening U.S. 221 from Goose Creek Road to north of the interchange.
Project information will be presented at the meeting allowing for one-on-one discussions with project staff, but there will be no formal presentation. The public may drop in at any time.
