GARNER – The N.C. Department of Transportation is launching a new tool to provide additional updates to the public regarding the U.S. 401 (Fayetteville Road) improvement project in Garner.
To keep the community informed, the project team has developed a new subscriber list to provide real-time updates regarding the project via email.
Residents, media and local partners are encouraged to sign up on the project webpage.
Construction Update
Between Aug. 16 - 22, crews will continue water line installation during the day Monday through Friday. At night, Sunday through Thursday, a subcontractor will jack and bore a water line near 5205 Fayetteville Road. Motorists should expect lane closures in this area during the nighttime work.
The following week, Aug. 23 - 29, crews will continue daytime water line installation Monday through Friday. Additional nighttime jack-and-bore work will take place Sunday through Thursday, with lane closures near 5119 Fayetteville Road.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and pay extra attention in the work zone.
