ROCKY MOUNT – The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles’ East Charlotte Driver License Office (DLO) is closing and moving to a new location.
The current office, at 6635 Executive Cr., Suite 130, will permanently close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at its new location at 5525 Albemarle Rd., Suite 200. Office hours will remain Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., except for state holidays.
During the transition, customers can visit any of the following four nearby DLOs:
• Charlotte North, 9711 David Taylor Dr.
• Charlotte South, 201 W. Arrowood Rd., Suite H
• Charlotte West, 6016 Brookshire Blvd.
• Monroe, 3122 U.S. Hwy. 74 W.
DMV offers driver license renewals and many other services online. Customers are encouraged to check the official DMV website at
NCDMV.gov to see if their driver license needs can be met online.
