MEBANE – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation are scheduled to close an on- and off-ramp along Interstate 40/85 this week, weather permitting.
The westbound on-ramp from Trollingwood-Hawfields Road to I-40/85 and the westbound off-ramp from I-40/85 to Trollingwood-Hawfields Road will close starting Sept. 11 at 9 p.m. to allow crews to install storm drain pipe across both ramps.
The ramps are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. Sept. 14.
Drivers should allow extra time for their commute and use caution when traveling in the work zone.
