Temporary Closure Upcoming for Wake County Bridge

RALEIGH – Contractors with the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close a section of Beryl Road next week.

Starting Sept. 14 at 9 a.m., the new bridge on Beryl Road will close to traffic so crews can safely work on the sewer system. The bridge is scheduled to reopen Sept. 18 at 7 a.m., weather permitting.

During the closure, traffic can detour via Western Boulevard, Hillsborough Street, Blue Ridge Road and Pylon Drive. Access to businesses in the area will remain accessible from each side of the bridge for the duration of the closure.

Drivers should plan ahead, allow extra travel time, watch for construction crews and follow all posted signs in the area.
