BEAUFORT – The N.C. Department of Transportation has closed a Carteret County road for utility work.
As part of the roundabout project in Beaufort at Live Oak Street (U.S. 70 Business) near N.C. 101, a portion of Live Oak Street is closed while crews install a sewer line and storm drain pipe.
The road is expected to reopen Jan. 19. Drivers can detour around the closure via U.S. 70 and N.C. 101.
Use caution when traveling near the area and seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
