RALEIGH – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close a section of Hillsborough Street overnight to set bridge girders.
Hillsborough Street in front of the North Carolina State Fairgrounds will close at midnight tonight and reopen Friday by 5 a.m.
Traffic will detour to Trinity Road and Youth Center Drive.
Transportation officials advise drivers to plan ahead, add extra time to overnight trips through this area, and obey all posted traffic signs.
