MAPLE HILL – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation will begin routine bridge maintenance on N.C. 53, requiring intermittent lane closures next week.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Nov. 2, crews will perform essential maintenance on the bridge at N.C. 53 from Sycamore Springs Road to James Dixon Trail in both directions. The work is expected to be complete by Nov. 6 at 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Drivers should remain alert and slow down in the work zone.
