RALEIGH – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close a section of Pylon Road this weekend to mill and pave the roadway, weather permitting.
Crews will mill Pylon Road between Uwharrie Road and Beryl Road from 7 p.m. tonight to 7 a.m. Saturday. Flagging operations will be in place to allow traffic through the work zone.
The road will close on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday for paving.
NCDOT reminds drivers to plan ahead, remain alert and obey all posted signs to help keep motorists and workers safe.
