HAMPSTEAD – The N.C. Department of Transportation will conduct a series of lane closures on a Pender County road beginning Monday.
Alternating lanes of Hoover Road from U.S. 17 to Misty Lakes Drive will close for about two months for drainage and roadway improvements. Work includes widening, resurfacing and pavement marking installation as well as drainage and pipe installation along Hoover Road.
One lane will remain open for the duration of the closure to accommodate through traffic. The road is expected to reopen by mid-May.
Drivers should use caution when traveling through the work zone and consider alternate routes to avoid travel delays.
