HILLSBOROUGH – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation are set to close a section of Governor Burke Road next week for a pipe replacement.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, Governor Burke Road will close between N.C. 57 and Miller Road. The road is expected to reopen to traffic by March 31, weather permitting.
Residents will have access to their driveways, but through traffic will need to use a signed detour on Farmview Road, Miller Road, N.C. 86 and N.C. 57.
Drivers should be mindful of crews working in the area and allow extra time to reach their destination.
