SALISBURY – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation are set to close a section of Caldwell Road next month to replace the existing bridge over Kerr Creek Road.
Starting at 8 a.m. April 6, workers will close a section of Caldwell Road between Mooresville Road and Millbridge Road. The road is expected to reopen by late July.
A signed detour will be in place. Drivers will take Millbridge Road, Mooresville Road to Caldwell Road, with the same route used in the opposite direction.
Motorists should use caution when traveling near the operation and seek alternate routes to avoid travel delays.
