LEXINGTON – A section of Owen Road will close next week for city construction work, weather permitting.
Crews will close Owen Road near N.C. 8 on April 9 at 7 a.m. to perform utility work. The road is expected to reopen by 5 p.m. April 10.
A signed detour will be in place, directing motorists to use N.C. 8 and Wildlife Recreation Area Access Road to access locations on either side of the closure.
Drivers should use caution when traveling near the area and seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
