HAMPSTEAD – Construction of a new school in Pender County will cause intermittent lane closures on N.C. 210 over the next several months.
Starting July 20, contract crews will widen a section of N.C. 210 near U.S. 17 in Hampstead and add new turn lanes as part of the construction of a Pender County K–8 school. Crews will also install a new drainage pipe system across N.C. 210.
Lane closures will be in place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. This work is expected to be complete by early November, weather permitting.
Motorists should use caution when traveling near the area and seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
