CLEMMONS – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews
will continue their series of weekend lane closures along I-40
west of the Yadkin River Bridge near Clemmons. The closures are needed for
ongoing widening work at the Davie/Forsyth County line.
Weather
permitting, additional lane closures will take place this weekend from 7 p.m. on
Friday, May 4, until Sunday, May 6 at noon.
The same schedule will be
followed Friday through Sunday on these weekends: June 1 through 3, June 8
through 10, and June 15 through 17.
While the roadway will not be
completely closed, crews will be working alongside traffic. Motorists are
reminded to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and slow down
in the work zone.
