The N.C. Department of Transportation is seeking public input as it develops the next Statewide Multimodal Freight Plan, which will establish goals and strategies to improve the movement of goods across the state.
Three public meetings will be held next week to give people a chance to learn about the draft plan and offer feedback as it is being developed.
The Statewide Multimodal Freight Plan will update the current plan published in 2023.
Registration is required for each meeting. All are from 1-4 p.m. and are scheduled as follows:

The plan will be released in the fall for a public comment period, prior to its adoption by the N.C. Board of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. The plan is expected to be published in early 2027.
