The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to replace the bridge on Janiero Road over Dawson Creek in Pamlico County.
The existing bridge will be replaced in place with a new, two-lane bridge. An off-site detour (14 miles long) will be required during construction.
Dawson’s Creek Beach Access may be temporarily closed or inaccessible during construction, which will take approximately one year.
Due to COVID-19, NCDOT will not host an in-person public meeting for this project. however, the public is invited to review the project map and submit comments.
