Access management is used to improve traffic flow, reduce crashes, and manage congestion. Additionally, this project will develop I-40 collector-distributor roadways between the U.S. 21 and I-77 interchanges, as well as modifications to the I-40 and Old Mocksville Road interchange, and the I-77 and East Broad Street interchange. The project will also widen approximately 7.4 miles of I-77 from four lanes to eight lanes.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public about upcoming construction activities and the associated timeframe, update the public on design changes, and to illustrate impacts.

The public may attend at any time during the public meeting hours, as no formal presentation will be made.

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
