​The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to make improvements to the interchange of I-440 and U.S. 70 (Glenwood Avenue) as well as improvements at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Blue Ridge/Lead Mine Roads in Raleigh. 

A public meeting is scheduled for:

The purpose of this meeting is to provide interested citizens with information on seven concepts that have been developed for this complex project and gather feedback from the public on those concepts. 

This meeting is being held very early in the project process, as the contract is scheduled to be awarded in 2025. Public input will be important as the project moves toward selecting a preferred alternative. ​

NCDOT and Consultant Team representatives will be available between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to answer questions and receive comments relative to the concepts. Interested participants may attend at any time during these hours. No formal presentation will be made.

Public Comment

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.

The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided at the meeting or can be submitted via phone, email or mail by July 25, 2019.
