The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes improvements to Greene Street between U.S. 1 and U.S. 220, including a roundabout at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Greene Street. The purpose of the proposed project is to provide an alternative truck route from existing U.S. 1, currently routed through downtown Rockingham. NCDOT also proposes improvements at the U.S. 1 and U.S. 74 interchange (Exit 311) to decrease congestion and enhance mobility.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the project and gather input on the proposed design.
The public may attend at any time during the public meeting hours, as no formal presentation will be made.
Public Comment
NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
