Proposed Improvements to I-85/I-485 Interchange, West of Charlotte - Mecklenburg County

STIP Number I-6016

The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to improve the interchange at I-85/I-485, west of Charlotte in Mecklenburg County. The purpose of this proposed project is to reduce traffic congestion and improve safety.

A public meeting is scheduled for:

​The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the proposed project and gather input on the proposed design. The public can view project information at NCDOT's project webpage​

Public Comment

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
