The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes improvements to
U.S. 64 from just west of Laura Duncan Road in Apex to U.S. 1 in Cary. The proposed project also includes replacing the CSX Railroad bridge over U.S. 64. This project supports ongoing transportation improvements aimed at reducing traffic congestion, improving safety, enhancing mobility and accommodating growth.
