The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to create a new road from U.S. 74 Business to Richmond Road. This road is intended to provide a more direct route between East Broad Avenue and the residential areas to the north and reduce area traffic. 

This public meeting, which will be held in-person and virtually, is scheduled for:

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the proposed project and gather input on the proposed design. The public can view project information, submit comments and receive email updates at NCDOT's public input portal​​​.

Public Comment

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.

The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided at the meeting or can be submitted via phone, email or at NCDOT's public input portal by Sept. 30, 2022.
