Proposed Extension of Jacksonville Parkway - Onslow County

The N.C. Department of Transportation will host a combined open house and public hearing regarding the proposed extension of Jacksonville Parkway​. 

The proposed project would extended Jacksonville Parkway from N.C. 53 (Western Boulevard) to U.S. 17 (New Bern Highway). It would also improve overall mobility in the area, alleviate traffic congestion and provide alternative routes for drivers.  

The open house and public hearing is scheduled for:

Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025
Open House: 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Public Hearing: 6:30-7:30 p.m. (click button below to join meeting)

Public Comment

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.

The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided at the meeting or can be submitted via phone, email or at NCDOT's public input portal​ by Nov. 28, 2025.
