The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to upgrade the intersection of Lawyers Road at Mill Grove Road near Hemby Bridge in Union County to a roundabout.
Construction is anticipated to begin Spring 2022 and will last approx. 10 weeks.
Due to COVID-19, NCDOT will not host an in-person public meeting for this project. however, the public is invited to review the project map and submit comments.
The department has developed a public input website to provide the following:
- An overview of the project
- The proposed project map
- How to read a public meeting map video
- How to navigate roundabouts video
Public Comment
The public can view the project materials and leave comments by accessing the
public input website. There will not be a formal comment period.
