Project Overview
Planning and development are underway for improvements to the intersection at U.S. 401, N.C. 55 and N.C. 42. The project also includes improvements to the intersection at N.C. 55 and N.C. 42 and the construction of a connector from N.C. 55 to Judd Parkway in Fuquay-Varina.
The proposed work would help improve traffic flow at the following intersections: U.S. 401 at N.C. 42 and N.C. 55 and N.C. 55 at N.C. 42.
Fuquay-Varina is experiencing rapid commercial, residential and mixed-use growth. The project’s intent is to relieve existing and future traffic congestion by providing a more efficient connection to Judd Parkway.
Project Funding
This project is listed as Project U-5751 in the N.C. Department of Transportation's State Transportation Improvement Program and is currently unfunded for construction.
