Stakeholder Engagement Efforts

The N.C. Department of Transportation will identify needs, challenges and priorities for those involved with or impacted by freight transportation planning. Stakeholder input will help shape the goals and strategies outlined in the Statewide Multimodal Freight Plan.

The engagement process will focus on six key audiences, including federal, state and local government representatives, metropolitan and rural planning organizations, freight operators, logistics providers and industry groups. These organizations will give their input through working sessions, engagement events, interviews and surveys.

The table below lists the stakeholder input opportunities throughout the development of the updated plan.
