The North Carolina Turnpike Authority is continuing construction of the southern portion of the Complete 540 project, which will extend the Triangle Expressway (Toll N.C. 540) from N.C. 55 Bypass to Interstate 40.
On or around November 30, Holland Church Road will temporarily close to through traffic between Ten Ten Road and Harvey Johnson Road. Holland Church Road will temporarily close to all traffic between Horse Creek Road and Ashton Hollow Drive. Road closure and detour signs will be installed. This section of Holland Church Road, between Ten Ten Road and Harvey Johnson Road, is scheduled to remain closed for approximately 18 months while contractors perform major utility relocations and construct a bridge that will carry Holland Church Road over Toll N.C. 540.
Detour routes will be as follows:
Holland Church Road Southbound
- Ten Ten Road to Sauls Road to Harvey Johnson Road
Holland Church Road Northbound
- Harvey Johnson Road to Sauls Road to Ten Ten Road
Drivers should use caution and slow down while traveling through the work zones and detour routes.
