The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to add and extend turning lanes at the intersection of N.C. 5 and Morganton Road. In addition, a
pedestrian hybrid beacon traffic control device (used to assist pedestrians in marked crosswalks and control traffic at locations without signal lights) will be installed at the eastern driveway of the Pinehurst Resort Maintenance Center.
