STIP Number R-5949
The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes improvements to approximately two miles of U.S. 258 from the intersection at Saint James Street to U.S. 64, with additional intersection improvements proposed at U.S. 258 and Colonial Road in Tarboro.
The project proposes to add travel lanes, a raised median, other intersection improvements and multimodal accommodations. As part of the project, the overpass bridge at the U.S 258/U.S. 64 interchange would also be replaced.
