The project to build a single-lane roundabout was proposed through the Rural Planning Organization as a mobility and safety improvement. It was initiated in 2017 and subsequently paused in 2019 due to funding. The project was reactivated, with right-of-way acquisition beginning in April 2022. The project was awarded for construction in July 2025.
