The N.C. Department of Transportation is studying multiple alternatives to address the traffic needs along U.S. 64 and intersecting roadways from just west of Laura Duncan Road in Apex to U.S. 1 in Cary.
The project team will be analyzing a significant number of options at the intersections within the project study corridor to address the access needs for the surrounding communities and businesses and reduce the number of crashes at the intersections.
This includes evaluating intersection options at Laura Duncan Road and Lake Pine Drive that will carry these roads over U.S. 64. Pedestrian and bicyclist needs within the project study area will also be evaluated and incorporated into the project.
