Several design alternatives (multiple options for meeting the purpose and need of the project) for the proposed Wadesboro Bypass project will be evaluated by the N.C. Department of Transportation, which may include a bypass to the north or to the south.
The proposed bypass would include a four-lane median-divided highway with two lanes in each direction and paved shoulders. Detailed design alternatives will be determined as the project progresses.
