Public Engagement Efforts

Throughout the development of the NC Moves 2050 statewide transportation plan, the N.C. Department of Transportation engaged North Carolina citizens and thought leaders in conversations about the future of transportation to identify needs, tradeoffs, priorities and solutions.

State agencies, community organizations and residents across North Carolina had the opportunity to give their input through working sessions, interactive surveys and engagement events. More than 30,000 responses were received on surveys throughout the development of the NC Moves 2050 Plan.
