Project Information
The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to build the
Kinston Bypass, a four-lane, median divided freeway (accessible via ramps at interchanges) that extends 22 miles from U.S. 70 near La Grange (in Lenoir County) to U.S. 70 near Dover (on the Jones-Craven county line).
A public meeting is scheduled for:

Due to limited space at the library, digital copies will be on display.
*Another public meeting will be held on Monday, Aug. 19 and an open house and public hearing will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 20.
The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public about the release of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement and the several alternatives under consideration.
These documents were relevant for this public meeting in 2019, see the project site for the latest information.
NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments relative to the proposed project.

Public Comment
NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
