The
N.C. Department of Transportation is working with the French Broad River
Metropolitan Planning Organization, the City of Asheville, Buncombe County and
the local NCDOT division staff to progress the proposed improvements, including the addition
of a 10-foot-wide multiuse path along the west side and a 5-foot-wide sidewalk
along the east side of Sweeten Creek Road.
