The N.C. Department of Transportation's Division of Highways consists of several sections and units that work together to build and maintain state-owned bridges and highways. These sections include:

Administrative Services
Maintenance & Operations
Technical Services
Transportation Mobility & Safety

Additionally, there are 14 geographic regions, referred to as divisions, in which NCDOT distributes the duties of building and maintaining state infrastructure.
